Journal of Medical Research (IMR) [ISSN 2795-9368] is published bimonthly, 6 issues per year. The JMR publishes peer reviewed quality biomedical research in the form of original research articles, review articles, short papers, short notes. Research letters are also published in the corresponding section after peer review. Special issues and Supplements and are published in addition to the regular issues.
Criteria for consideration of papers - The papers should meet the following criteria – the material should be original, the methodology used should be standard and appropriate, results should be unambiguous supported with data/photographs, conclusions should be reasonable and based on the findings, the topic should be of biomedical interest and findings should have clinical significance. Papers involving human and animals should be ethically cleared by the local ethical committees.
Manuscript Preparation - Manuscript should be prepared in accordance with the Guidelines set by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) as uniform requirements for manuscripts submitted to biomedical journals and should be submitted online . Abstract should be structured (of about 250 words) under the subheadings Background & objectives, Methods, Results, and Interpretation & conclusions.
Journal Ethics
Journal of Medical Research (JMR) follows ethical principles laid down by scholarly bodies such as COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and also Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research on Human Participants, 2017. All manuscripts based on research involving human participants or using human blood, tissues and other samples as also medical records need to be submitted along with a clearance certificate from the Institutional Ethics Committee. The members of the Committee should also be listed. For Clinical Images and case series duly signed Patient Consent Form needs to be submitted along with the manuscript. Studies involving animals need to be submitted with a clearance certificate from the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee.

This is an open access journal, and articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License, which allows others to remix, tweak, and build upon the work non-commercially, as long as appropriate credit is given and the new creations are licensed under the identical terms.
Digital Archiving
Journals provides for long-term digital preservation through two primary partnerships, Portico and CLOCKSS.
Portico is a leading digital preservation service worldwide. The content is preserved as an archival version and is not publically accessible via Portico, but is provided when required under specific conditions, such as discontinuation of the collection or catastrophic failure of the website.
CLOCKSS will enable any library to maintain their own archive of content from Journals, with minimal technical effort and using cheaply available hardware.
Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Journal of Medical Research has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.

The Journal publishes original communications of biomedical research that advances or illuminates medical science or that educates the journal readers. Articles with clinical interest and implications will be given preference.
SCOPE
Journal of Medical Research (JMR) is a biomedical journal with international circulation. It publishes original communications of biomedical research that advance or illuminate medical science or that educate the journal readers. It is issued bimonthly, in 6 volumes per year.
Manuscripts dealing with clinical aspects will be considered for publication, provided they contain results of original investigations. Articles need to be of general interest - e.g., they cross the boundaries of specialities or are of sufficient novelty and importance that the journal's readers, whatever be their speciality, should be made aware of the findings. Research papers reporting original research, review articles (both narrative and evidence based), research correspondence, letter to editor will be considered. View points and Perspectives are also considered. Papers of routine nature which are merely records of interesting cases, as also those dealing with modifications of routine methodology are not encouraged. Further, serialization of articles by the same author(s) into various parts (1,2,3, etc.) is strongly discouraged. In such cases the authors are advised to submit independent papers with self-sufficient titles and text.
The JMR strongly discourages duplication/reduplication of data already published in other journals (even when certain cosmetic changes/additions are made). If and when duplication is detected after publishing in JMR, the journal will be forced to 'retract' such articles. Articles based on work carried out in private nursing homes and other non-recognized hospitals/research institutes will be discouraged.
